Ron and Nancy are great folks. They run a really nice operation. Right on Knapps Narrows Inlet. Easy in and out. Within walking distance to a couple of local restaurants.
We rented a waverunner; which was a very nice machine ~very clean. Actually, all of their equipment seemed really nice. Captain Ron and his entire crew were excellent: thorough, considerate, available and most importantly, safety conscious. If you are down on the Eastern Shore of MD., you HAVE to get out on the water and they have lots of options to do so :))
My family and I (which includes a 2.5yo) had the pleasure of renting a boat from Captain Ron and Nancy during our trip to St. Michaels. The boat made our trip! We went crabbing, fishing, motored out to the nearby lighthouse and went for lunch at a few different spots in the area during the week.
We only had a little bit of powerboat experience on small lakes in the Midwest before this trip, but never really had to manage any navigational issues... If you are worried about the boat being more than you can handle on your trip or have little to no experience on a boat... Don't let this stop you. Captain Ron will sit down with you and give all the pointers necessary to safely operate the boat and have a fantastic time.
I recently completed the power boat training/safety course at the Tilghman Island Marina. Captain Ron was a great instructor who was very knowledgeable, encouraging, and helpful. Having one-on-one instruction, I was able to practice various boating and chart skills as much or as little as needed. I learned every aspect of boating from docking, navigating, safety precautions, to the different parts of the boat/engine. Captain Ron was great, the marina was very well run, and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to learn or brush up on power boating skills.
